1895 Winchester carbine .30 us mod 1903 – lever action VG condition

Very RARE US Model 1895. Winchester Repeating Arms Co.  Stamped on barrel – “.30 U.S. MOD 1903”.   Barrel length: 24″ Serial number is 827XX mfg in 1917

A 30-06 cartridge should be able to be chambered and fired through this rifle according to the experts, but I would ask a gunsmith first.
